John Baxter

John Baxter has extensive experience in software development and architecture within the aviation industry, beginning as a Systems Engineer at Paging Systems Limited from 1991 to 1995. Baxter progressed to roles at Speedwing, initially as a Team Leader managing an interline billing system, and later as a Technical Manager developing a bespoke bill audit system for British Airways. At British Airways, Baxter served in various capacities including Project Manager for application development, Solution Architect for corporate loyalty integration, and Application Architect for an online staff travel booking system. Further roles included Solutions Architect at Avios, contributing to the Avios loyalty currency initiative, and Solution Architect for Iberia's digital transformation to a microservice architecture. Most recently, Baxter has held positions as Technical Strategy Architect at IAG GBS, Enterprise Architect at IAG Tech, and currently as Commercial Architect at British Airways, focusing on technology strategies and roadmaps across the IAG Group's digital channels.
