Igor Marek

Igor Marek, AIGP, CIPP/E, CIPM, is a seasoned legal professional specializing in data privacy and corporate compliance, currently serving as Corporate Compliance Senior Counsel - Data Privacy at BAT since November 2021. Prior experience includes being the Privacy Lead and Senior Legal Counsel at Philips, where Igor led the privacy compliance efforts across 30 countries in the CEER region and developed the first market privacy compliance program. Igor also held various legal roles at Affidea, providing legal support across multiple countries, and served as Head of Legal for Affidea Polska, managing legal activities for multiple companies. Educational achievements include multiple postgraduate degrees in areas such as Personal Data Protection, Medical Law, and Competition Law, as well as an MA in Law from Jagiellonian University.
