Vava Tampa serves as the Chair of the British Association of Social Workers since November 2021 and has been a Freelance Writer for both TRT World and The Guardian since August 2019 and October 2013, respectively. Vava Tampa is also the Founder and Chief Advocate of Save the Congo!, established in August 2008. A former Freelance Writer for The Africa Report in July 2016, Vava Tampa previously held the position of Elected Committee Member for the Student Action Network at Amnesty International from November 2007 to November 2008, where responsibilities included representing university student groups and orchestrating various social justice initiatives. Vava Tampa holds a degree in History and Politics from Queen Mary University of London and completed A-levels in Sociology, French, and Politics at Richmond upon Thames College.
