Laura Heathcote is an accomplished physiotherapist with extensive experience in para-athletics and sports physiotherapy. Currently serving as the Lead Paralympic Physiotherapist at UK Athletics since November 2014, Laura has played a pivotal role in supporting pathway and development athletes, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Previously, Laura has worked with British Athletics and British Wheelchair Basketball as a lead physiotherapist, significantly contributing to the women's wheelchair basketball squad's preparation for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics. Laura's qualifications include an MSc in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham, complemented by a BSc in Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University. Laura’s career encompasses various roles across multiple sports, consistently ensuring world-class physiotherapy services and achieving remarkable results with athletes at national and international competitions.
