Roger Weir

Roger Weir is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in coaching and law enforcement. Currently serving as a Police Officer with Nottinghamshire Police since September 2022, Roger has also been involved with British Canoeing since April 2017, holding the positions of Paracanoe Talent ID Coach and Talent Inclusion Coordinator. Previous roles include Senior Bar Supervisor at the National Ice Centre & Motorpoint Arena Nottingham from February 2016 to October 2018 and Lifeguard at Parkwood Leisure from December 2007 to June 2011. Roger's academic background includes an MRes in Sport and Exercise from the University of Derby (2015-2017), a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the same institution (2012-2015), a CYQ Personal Trainer qualification from South Nottingham College (2009-2010), and a BTEC National Diploma in Sport Development Coaching and Fitness from Warwickshire College (2007-2009). Early education was completed at Chenderit School, resulting in GCSE qualifications.
