Currently serving as Manager of Business Intelligence and Data at BC College of Nurses and Midwives, Bhagyasri previously held the position of Manager of Data & Analytics at Northland Properties, where key achievements included leading a team to improve data maturity and developing enterprise data strategies. Prior experience includes roles as Technology Solution Architect and Analyst at BCI, where Bhagyasri focused on designing data-driven solutions and creating impactful dashboards in Tableau and Power BI. BCCNM is the provincial regulator for all nurses and midwives in British Columbia. We regulate the four nursing designations--licensed practical nurses (LPN), nurse practitioners (NP), registered nurses (RN) and registered psychiatric nurses (RPN)--as well as registered midwives (RM). Our purpose is to ensure the public receives safe, competent, and ethical nursing and midwifery care. BCCNM was established Sep. 1, 2020, through the amalgamation of the BC College of Nursing Professionals and the College of Midwives of BC. This amalgamation is in line with the Ministry of Health's ongoing efforts to streamline and modernize health profession regulation in B.C. The new college is the first nurse and midwife regulator in Canada, and the largest regulator in Western Canada, overseeing 68,500 registrants.
