Jaime Aguilera has extensive experience as a Senior Application Developer and Software Engineer, with a career spanning over 18 years in the technology sector. Currently working at BC College of Nurses and Midwives since 2018, Jaime contributes to the software development life cycle (SDLC) of various projects and enhances IT operations through process analysis. Previous roles include positions at the College of Registered Nurses of BC, Electronic Arts, AXA, ING Nederland, and ITESM, where Jaime led software development teams, guided project activities across the SDLC, and provided training for junior engineers. Jaime holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master's degree in Information Technology from Laureate Education, Inc.

BC College of Nurses and Midwives
BCCNM is the provincial regulator for all nurses and midwives in British Columbia. We regulate the four nursing designations--licensed practical nurses (LPN), nurse practitioners (NP), registered nurses (RN) and registered psychiatric nurses (RPN)--as well as registered midwives (RM). Our purpose is to ensure the public receives safe, competent, and ethical nursing and midwifery care. BCCNM was established Sep. 1, 2020, through the amalgamation of the BC College of Nursing Professionals and the College of Midwives of BC. This amalgamation is in line with the Ministry of Health's ongoing efforts to streamline and modernize health profession regulation in B.C. The new college is the first nurse and midwife regulator in Canada, and the largest regulator in Western Canada, overseeing 68,500 registrants.
