Annette Allmark has extensive work experience in the field of vocational learning and development. Annette currently holds the position of Director of Learning and Development Product Commercialisation at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT since 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Apprenticeships at the same organization.
Before joining BCS, Annette held various leadership roles at People 1st International starting from 2012. Annette'sresponsibilities included serving as the Director of Strategic Policy, where they played a crucial role in implementing apprenticeship reforms and representing employers in the visitor economy sector. Annette also developed and implemented an employer-led External Quality Assurance (EQA) model for retail, hospitality, travel, and aviation sectors. Annette later served as the Head of Professional Standards.
Annette's career also includes a role as the Centres of Excellence Manager at Hospitality Guild in 2011, and as an Independent Consultant specializing in vocational learning from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked as a Vocational Learning Manager at People1st, Sector Skills Council from 2003 to 2006. Annette'searlier experience includes serving as the National Standards and Qualifications Manager at Hospitality Training Foundation, where they managed projects related to the development of qualification frameworks and worked closely with employers, awarding organizations, and government departments.

Annette Allmark has a Master of Science degree in Strategy, Change, and Leadership from the University of Bristol. Annette also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Oxford Brookes University, which they completed in 2016. Annette obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Business Administration (First Class) from the University of Hertfordshire in 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management from West Herts College in 1996.
