Julia Adamson Mbe

Julia Adamson MBE has extensive work experience in the field of education and public affairs. Julia is currently the Managing Director - Education & Public Benefit at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Education at the same organization from November 2017 to November 2022. Julia also briefly worked as the Head of Public Affairs at BCS from May 2017 to November 2017. Before joining BCS, Julia held the position of Senior Manager at South West Grid for Learning from January 2009 to April 2017. Julia also worked as a Regional Manager at MGL Ltd from April 2006 to December 2008. Prior to that, they worked as an Education Consultant on a freelance basis from January 2005 to April 2006. Julia's career began as a Teacher at Weaver Vale School, where they worked from September 1997 to January 2005.

Julia Adamson MBE obtained a Bachelor of Education (Honors) in Science and Technology from the University of Chester between 1993 and 1997. Julia has also received additional certifications, including being a Fellow of BCS (FBCS), a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (IoD).
