Juanita Ruiz

Juanita Ruiz is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations and project management within the education and corporate sectors. Currently serving as Director de operaciones for the British Council in Colombia since April 2023, Juanita previously held the position of Operations Manager at the same organization, where responsibilities included leading international cooperation strategies to address educational disparities in Bogotá. Prior roles include Director of Projects and Cooperation at Fundación SIMMON, Community Manager at GoogleBrasil, and Director of Comms and Corporate Affairs at the Federación Interamericana del Cemento. Juanita began the career with an internship in International Sales and Marketing at Volkswagen AG. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University and degrees in Business Administration and International Business Administration from FH Münster and Universidad de La Sabana, respectively.
