Sam Rametse

Sam Rametse currently serves as the Regional Head of Higher Education Programmes for Sub-Saharan Africa at the British Council, overseeing diverse project teams and managing relationships with partners and stakeholders. Prior to this role, Sam held various positions, including Programme Manager for the British Council-supported Newton Fund programme and Zenex Foundation, where responsibilities included project development, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. Experience extends to serving as a Professional Officer at the National Research Foundation's Square Kilometre Array, focusing on education programmes, and as an Education Officer at Hartebeeshoek Radio Astronomy Observatory, enhancing astronomy knowledge among learners. Sam's educational background includes ongoing doctoral studies in Applied Mathematics, supported by a Master's degree, honors degree, and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, along with qualifications in project management.
