Stephen Thackeray

Stephen Thackeray is an experienced leader with a strong background in product management and cross-functional team dynamics, currently serving as the Head of Product at the British Council since July 2010. This role involves guiding teams across multiple African countries in developing strategies for Covid recovery in commercial services. Previous positions include Strategy and Operations Manager, Director, Deputy Head of Department, and Project Coordinator, notably overseeing the Securing Access to Justice Programme in Sudan. Additionally, as a self-employed Management Consultant, Stephen provided soft-skills training to middle managers in international financial and media institutions. Stephen holds an MSc in Violence, Conflict, and Development from SOAS University of London and a BA (Hons) in Politics from Queen Mary University of London.
