Andrés González Quirós

Hydrogeologist / Geothermal Scientist at British Geological Survey

Andrés González Quirós is a seasoned hydrogeologist and geothermal scientist currently employed at the British Geological Survey since December 2021. With a diverse background in research, Andrés has contributed as a collaborator at Jo.in Hydrocafe since January 2021 and held prestigious positions including Royal Society - Newton International Fellow at the University of Aberdeen from January 2019 to December 2021 and Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Universidad de Oviedo from October 2016 to January 2019. Prior to these roles, Andrés was a researcher in hydrogeology and geophysics at the Hydro-Geophysics and NDT Modelling Unit from January 2012 to December 2018, as well as serving as a visiting researcher at the University of Aberdeen in March to June 2016. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Mining Engineering, an MSc in Geological Resources, and a degree in Geology, all from Universidad de Oviedo.
