Andy Marchant is an experienced GIS developer with a strong background in web and desktop GIS applications, currently employed at the British Geological Survey since December 1996. Prior to this role, Andy worked as a C++ developer focused on secure data communications at the Defence Research Agency from 1992 to 1995. Andy holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems from The University of Edinburgh, obtained between 1995 and 1996, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Reading, completed from 1989 to 1992.
