Christopher Card

Christopher Card is a Senior Software Engineer at the British Geological Survey, a role held since October 2016, contributing to the provision of authoritative scientific data about the Earth. Prior to this, Christopher worked at Siemens from June 2004 to October 2016 as a Senior Software Engineer and Architect, focusing on neurology and oncology applications in the highly regulated healthcare sector. Early career experiences include software development at Badley Geoscience Ltd from August 2001 to June 2004 for knowledge sharing in the oil and gas industry, and a role as a Geophysicist at Svitzer from September 1998 to September 2000, where responsibilities included data acquisition and software development for geophysical interpretation. Christopher holds an MSc in Computing in Earth Sciences from Keele University and a BSc in Geology from Cardiff University.
