Colin Blackburn is a seasoned software developer and educator with extensive experience in both academic and research settings. Currently, Colin serves as a Software Developer at the British Geological Survey since November 2016 and has been an Associate Lecturer at the Open University since 1994, tutoring various modules including M813, M269, and TM351. Previous positions include Software Developer at the Open Microscopy Environment, where Colin contributed to the development of OMERO at the University of Dundee, and Software Engineer at Durham University, focusing on astronomical instrumentation software.
