Jaana Pinnick MSc FIRMS AMIRMS CDMP has extensive experience in data and information governance, currently serving as Data and Information Governance Manager at the British Geological Survey since April 2004. Responsibilities include the development of digital preservation policies and strategies, data and risk analysis, and advocacy for preservation practices. Jaana has also managed grants teams within the NERC Geoscience Grants, providing research data management guidance and training. Additional roles include serving as a personal assistant to various senior positions within the British Geological Survey. Jaana holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Information and Records Management from Northumbria University, along with further qualifications in digital preservation and a background in languages and education.
