Michael Ellis has extensive experience in geology and environmental science, currently serving as the Head of Catchment Science and Observatories and Science Director for Climate and Landscape Change at the British Geological Survey since May 2008. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Program Director at the National Science Foundation from September 2005 to May 2008 and was a Professor at The University of Memphis for 15 years. Michael earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Geology from Washington State University between 1978 and 1984.
