Rob Smith has extensive experience in legal and intellectual property rights (IPR), currently serving as Head of Legal and IPR at the British Geological Survey since April 2005, and previously held the role of IPR and Licensing Manager within the same organization. Prior to this, Rob Smith worked as a Trade Mark Assistant at Potter Clarkson LLP from 2001 to 2005 and served as Assistant to the Head of Group Trade Marks at Boots between 1998 and 2001. Education includes a Master of Arts degree in UK, US, and EU Copyright Law from King's College London (2008-2009) and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics and Philosophy from the University of York (1990-1993).
