Steve Thorpe

Steve Thorpe is an experienced spatial data manager and 3D geological modeller at the British Geological Survey, where responsibilities include managing and maintaining metadata for 3D geological models using a bespoke database designed by Steve. Additionally, a part-time secondment at Cambridge University Engineering Department focuses on enhancing the integration of geological and groundwater data into ground studies, resulting in projects such as a geothermal study in Kensington and Chelsea. Currently pursuing a Chartered Manager degree apprenticeship at the University of Derby Online Learning to deepen business understanding, Steve also has a background in database management from Laskarina Holidays. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Bedfordshire and is expected to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Chartered Management by 2024.
