Wayne Shelley is an experienced professional with a focus on geospatial software development and GIS applications. Currently serving as the DevOps Lead at the British Geological Survey since October 2008, Wayne leads various geospatial software development projects across mobile, web, and desktop platforms. Previous roles at the British Geological Survey include Senior GIS and Mobile Developer, where Wayne managed high-profile apps like iGeology and mySoil, and GIS Programmer, responsible for developing geoscientific GIS applications. Prior to this, Wayne worked as a GIS Scientist at the Health and Safety Laboratory, providing GIS support and creating bespoke tools for the Health and Safety Executive. Wayne holds a First Class Dual Honours BSc in Biology and Physical Geography from Keele University.
