Communications & Engagement Director at British Gymnastics

Andy Dodd's work experience begins in 2001 at the EFL, where they started as a Commercial Assistant and eventually became the Head of Marketing Communications. During their time at the EFL, they were responsible for fan-facing activities, overseeing the digital strategy, content creation, and marketing campaigns. Andy also worked at numerous major football finals and Football League Awards events.

In 2017, Dodd joined the Tennis Foundation as the Head of Communications & Marketing. Andy built and led a team focused on promoting and raising the profile of the Tennis Foundation's inclusive and accessible vision. Their responsibilities included strategy development and implementation, proactive and reactive media coverage, event branding, public affairs, digital channel management, and supporting departmental teams. Andy also worked closely with various industry organizations and sat on the Senior Management Team and LTA Leadership Team.

In 2019, Dodd joined the Lawn Tennis Association as the Head of Strategic Communications. Their role involved managing and promoting the reputation of the LTA, identifying target audiences, and driving a communications program to build advocacy and engagement. Additionally, they chaired the LTA's Coronavirus Working Group, managing the response to the pandemic internally and externally.

Recently, Dodd joined British Gymnastics as the Communications & Engagement Director in 2022. Further details about this role are not provided.

Andy Dodd attended Lancaster University from 1996 to 1999, earning a BA (Hons) degree in Advertising & Marketing. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1996, they attended Teesdale Comprehensive - Sixth Form where they completed A Levels in Business & Economics, Maths, General Studies, and Geography.
