Alex May

Alex May has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as the Mineral Strategy & Exploration Manager at British Gypsum since October 2012. Previous roles at British Gypsum include Senior Mines Planning Engineer, Central Mining Engineer, Mine Production Manager, Mine Shift Manager, and Graduate Mining Engineer. Prior to this, Alex held a Graduate Mining Engineer position at Independence Group NL and an Undergraduate Mining Engineer role at Anglo American. Initial experience in the field includes vacation project work at Fujairah Bulk Shipping and a Technical Services Assistant position at Western United Mines Ltd. Alex holds a BEng (Hons) degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Exeter, completed in 2011.
