Julien Lajoie-Deschamps is an experienced investment professional with a strong background in private equity and emerging markets. Currently serving as an Investment Manager at British International Investment since March 2017, Julien focuses on consumer and healthcare sectors. Prior to this role, Julien co-founded and managed Smooch Beverages Nigeria Limited from August 2014 to November 2016. Julien's earlier experience includes serving as an Associate at HarbourVest Partners, an Analyst in investment banking at Royal Bank of Scotland, and a financial markets analyst at National Bank of Canada. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Banking and International Finance from Bayes Business School, completion of all three levels at the CFA Institute, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal.
