Louise Meikle has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Louise is currently the Chief People Officer at British International Investment. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Independent Provider of Special Education Advice from 2019 to 2021. Louise also held the position of Board Trustee at Independent Provider of Special Education Advice - known as IPSEA from 2017 to 2021. Louise has extensive experience in the legal sector, having worked at Slaughter and May, where they served as the Director of Human Resources from 2010 until 2021 and the Head of Training from 2002 to 2010. Additionally, they were a Member of Aspire Academies Trust from 2016 to 2018 and a Member of the Education and Training Committee at the Solicitors Regulation Authority from 2007 to 2012.

Louise Meikle began their education at Queen Mary School in Lytham from 1985 to 1992. Louise then went on to study Law at the University of Oxford, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from 1992 to 1995. Following that, they attended the College of Law in Chester from 1995 to 1996, where they completed the Legal Practice Course. In 2015, they briefly studied at the London Business School, focusing on a program called "Leading Businesses into the Future."
