Abbie Weaving

Abbie Weaving is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and public relations. Currently serving as a Senior Media Officer at the British Medical Association since September 2019, Abbie is responsible for national and trade press work, crisis and strategic communications, and leading campaign initiatives. Prior to this role, Abbie worked as a Media Officer for the British Medical Association and as a PR and Press Officer at the Royal College of General Practitioners. Additional experience includes senior reporting positions at East Anglian Daily Times, Saffron Walden Reporter, and Dunmow Broadcast. Abbie holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Reading, a Level 5 National Qualification in Journalism, and is currently pursuing a Professional PR Diploma at Oxford College of Marketing.
