Alyson Thomson is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Scotland for Dignity in Dying, Alyson has been with the British Red Cross since September 2012 as the Head of Territory Communications. Prior to these positions, Alyson worked as a freelance communications and training consultant and served as the Head of Communications for both the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Equal Opportunities Commission. From August 2000 to June 2002, Alyson was the Press, PR and Parliamentary Affairs Manager at Leonard Cheshire Disability. Alyson holds an MA (HONS) in English and History from the University of Aberdeen.
