James Wood

James Wood is an experienced Recovery Practitioner currently working at Delphi Medical and Delphi Medical Consultants Ltd since April 2017, while also serving as a Counsellor at Wood Counselling since April 2018. In addition, James has been a Volunteer First Aider with the British Red Cross since August 2005, gaining valuable training in first aid and safeguarding. Previous roles include Recovery Practitioner at Addiction Dependency Solutions (2014-2017) and Project Worker at ADDACTION (2006-2014), where expertise in drug treatment support was developed. James has also held positions as Assistant Project Officer and Project Officer at Great Places Housing Group and The Blackpool Foyer, focusing on supported housing for young people. Early career experience includes serving as a Royal Navy Writer from 2000 to 2004 and working as a Bar Person at O'Neil's Irish Public House from 1996 to 2000 while pursuing a degree at Edge Hill University College. James possesses a BA (Hons) and has engaged in relevant educational programs at Preston College and Blackpool and Fylde College.
