Jeremy Smith

Jeremy Smith currently serves as the Country Manager for Afghanistan and Pakistan and Ukraine at the British Red Cross, with previous experience as the Country Cluster Manager for the Middle East & North Africa. Prior to this, Jeremy held the position of Rapid Response PMEAL Delegate for a secondment with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies during the Palestine Complex Emergency Response. Between August 2018 and June 2021, Jeremy was the PMEAL and CEA Advisor for the MENA Region at the British Red Cross. Earlier experience includes serving as the Quality, Impact and M&E Manager for the Middle East at Union Aid Abroad APHEDA and the NSW CAS Programme Coordinator at Australian Red Cross. Jeremy holds a Master of International Studies with honors and a Bachelor of Social Work with honors along with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from the University of Sydney.
