Laurel Selby

Cea/ AAP Content And Learning Manager

Laurel Selby has extensive experience in humanitarian work and communications, currently serving as the CEA/AAP Content and Learning Manager at the British Red Cross since September 2019, after earlier roles as a CEA/AAP Content Officer and a volunteer Refugee Support Caseworker. Laurel is also the Digital Media and Project Coordinator for Encompass - The Daniel Braden Reconciliation Trust, a position held since September 2019. Previous experience includes a Research Assistant role at Freedom from Torture, contributing to critical reports on asylum processes for survivors of torture, and communication roles at the World Press Photo Foundation and Amnesty International UK. Additionally, Laurel has worked in social media and digital production for agencies like Way To Blue and The Project Factory. Academically, Laurel holds a Master's degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University and a BSocSc in Social Anthropology from The University of Manchester.
