Creative Lead at British Red Cross

Sara Chew has a diverse work experience in the field of graphic design and creative work. Sara started their career in 2004 as a Design Coordinator at Mental Health Media, where they worked on print and online design, videography, editing, and technical support at events. In 2007, they joined Furner Communications as a Design Associate, providing sole design support for the PR agency. Sara then worked at the Royal National Institute of the Blind as a Designer, where they designed publications and materials and provided consultancy on DDA compliance. From 2010 to 2010, they worked as a Designer at the Science Museum, focusing on educational materials and collaborating on a museum-wide rebranding project. In 2014, Sara joined the British Red Cross as an Artworker and later became a Creative, eventually taking on the role of Creative Lead in 2020. Additionally, they have also worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer under the name Grey King, serving clients such as the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, NY Met Opera, Mind, NHS, NFTS, RNIB, and Sainsburys Centre for Mental Health.

Sara Chew obtained a BA Hons degree in Illustration from the University of Brighton, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Additionally, they received advanced certifications in Adobe Illustrator CC and Adobe After Effects CC from Media Training Ltd in 2018 and 2017 respectively.
