Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Communications Manager at Interserve from 2012 to 2014 and Interim Communications Manager at LLR PCT NHS in 2012. Caroline also worked as the Communications and Marketing Manager at North West Leicestershire District Council/Charnwood Borough Council from 2008 to 2011, and as an Interim Communications Officer at North West Leicestershire District Council in 2008. Caroline's career began as a Freelance PR/Marketing Consultant for Scarlet Communications from 2005 to 2008 and as the Franchise Owner of Swimtime East Midlands Ltd from 2005 to 2008.
Caroline Richardson has a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Environmental Biology from the University of Liverpool. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" from Google Digital Garage in July 2020 and "SEO Copywriting" from Yoast.com in July 2019.

British Triathlon is a Federation, whose members are the Home Nation's Associations of Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon. British Triathlon is responsible for matters such as the Great Britain Elite, Paratriathlon and Age-Group Teams, British and International events, Anti-Doping and International Representation.
