Matthew Curtain

Matthew Curtain is a seasoned leader in the sports management sector, currently serving as the IF Delegate for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and an Executive Board Member at the International Weightlifting Federation since June 2022. As the Chief Executive Officer of British Weight Lifting since December 2018, Matthew has also held roles such as Member of the International Relations Committee and Chair of the England Committee. Previous experience includes Directorship at RED LION SPORT & CULTURE LIMITED, Sport Director at FITEQ, and Chair of the Sport Commission at the International Weightlifting Federation. Matthew’s extensive background features significant roles in the Commonwealth Games Federation, including Director of Sport & IF Relations, and management positions in various weightlifting organizations, underpinning a strong commitment to the development of sports programs and international relations in the field.
