Michael Chute

Michael Chute is a licensed Structural Engineer (PE, SE) with extensive experience in civil engineering and structural design, currently employed at Britt, Peters and Associates since May 2016. Chute has held various engineering internships, including roles as a Structural Engineer Intern at Flatiron Construction, where involvement included formwork design for bridge projects, and as a Field Engineer on the Carolina Bays Parkway Extension. Prior experience encompasses a Construction Manager Intern position at TIC The Industrial Company, where contributions were made to a bulkhead renovation project, and a Field Engineer role at Flatiron Construction on the ILM Transmission Line Project. Michael Chute began the career in 2009 as a Laborer on the Sea-to-Sky Highway Project and progressed through various positions, showcasing a robust foundation in both field and structural engineering. Academically, Michael Chute holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Civil Engineering and Physics from Clemson University and the College of Charleston, respectively.
