Steve Black, MSE, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, currently serves as Senior Human Resources Manager and HR Practice Line Leader at Brixey & Meyer since June 2018. In this role, Steve focuses on centralizing HR functions and standardizing best practices across the organization. Prior to this position, Steve was Regional Director of Human Resources at Almost Family, Inc., overseeing a team supporting 4,000+ employees and managing HR operations across a six-state region. Steve also worked at Home Care by Black Stone as Chief Talent Officer, enhancing talent acquisition and management programs. Early career experiences include educational roles at Lakota Local Schools and Cedarville University. Steve holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor's in Social Science Teacher Education and a Master’s in Education from the University of Dayton.

Brixey & Meyer was formed in 2002 by David S. Brixey, CPA and Douglas L. Meyer, CPA. Brixey & Meyer, Inc. is a registered accounting firm with the State of Ohio with offices located in Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati.
