Ioannis Vlachos is an accomplished researcher and educator in the fields of pathology and bioinformatics, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School since April 2019. In addition, Ioannis holds multiple leadership roles at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, including Director of Spatial Technologies and Co-Director of the Bioinformatics Program at the Cancer Research Institute. At the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Ioannis operates as an Associate Member and Principal Investigator. Previous experiences include postdoctoral research positions at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, along with substantial contributions to non-coding RNA biogenesis and cancer genetics at various institutions. Ioannis holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics and a Master's in Bioinformatics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, complemented by a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Piraeus.
