Nihal Pai

Nihal Pai is a Senior Software Engineer at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, specializing in the development of cloud-based data pipelines for genomic research and clinical diagnostics, utilizing tools such as Python, Google Cloud Platform, and Apache Airflow. With experience in establishing automated testing and CI/CD best practices, Nihal has played a pivotal role in projects like the NIH-funded polygenic risk reporting pipeline and a high-throughput COVID-19 testing automation pipeline. Prior roles include software engineering positions at Human Care Systems and a UI/UX designer role at Tellescope, along with internships in data science, machine learning, and software engineering across various organizations. Nihal holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tufts University and has pursued further education at Harvard Extension School.
