Lonnie Roy

Principal Engineer at Broadbent & Associates, Inc.

Lonnie is Professional Engineer with more than 35 years of experience in water resources and civil engineering projects throughout the western United States. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno and completed graduate studies in Water Resources Engineering at Texas A&M University. Lonnie joined Broadbent in 1996 and has been a pivotal component in growing Broadbent over the past 25 years, serving as a Principal Engineer and leading groundwater development, environmental permitting, civil engineering, and NEPA projects. He is a Professional Engineer in Nevada, Texas, Arizona, Utah, and a Water Rights Surveyor in Nevada. His general experience includes groundwater assessment, dewatering design, municipal well design and construction management, NEPA compliance, flood studies, water quality analysis, underground storage tank (UST) design and installation, water rights review and transfers and environmental permitting and reporting. Away from work, Lonnie enjoys being a private pilot, and he volunteers monthly to serve with LIGA International by flying doctors to Sinaloa, Mexico to staff medical clinics, and he serves as the Engineering Director for their Clean Water Program, which provides bios and filters to rural pueblos in Sinaloa and Sonora.
