Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Schmidt

Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Schmidt (MSEE) is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive expertise in enterprise network switching and FPGA design. As a Principal Engineer at Broadcom since March 2012, Andreas has contributed significantly to network technologies. Andreas founded ASIC.CC in 2010, serving as Principal Engineer, focused on ASIC and hardware solutions. Previous roles include Staff SerDes Applications Engineer at XILINX, where Andreas authored multiple transceiver user guides and provided training and support globally. Additional experience includes senior engineering positions at CloudShield Technologies and Gibson Labs, where Andreas developed advanced ASIC and FPGA designs for high-performance applications. Andreas holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum.
