Serge de la Porte

Serge de la Porte is a seasoned software manager with extensive experience in the GPS and GNSS fields. Currently serving as a Senior Software Manager at Broadcom since July 2007, Serge oversees software development and support for host-based GPS solutions for mobile platforms, following Broadcom's acquisition of Global Locate. Prior to this, Serge held the role of Senior Software Manager at Global Locate, where responsibilities included embedded software development for GPS chips aimed at the Assisted GPS market. Earlier career experience includes managing the design and implementation of embedded software for high-precision GPS receivers at Ashtech Inc., and developing embedded software for Inertial Navigation Systems at SAGEM. Serge holds a Master’s degree in Control Systems from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Special de Mecanique et d'Electricite.
