Michael Pettenato is an experienced technology leader with a robust background in engineering and software development. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Broadridge since September 2020, Michael architected the firm's cloud-based microservices platform utilizing AWS ECS Fargate containers. Prior experience includes roles as Head of Engineering at Tradewind Markets, Inc., where Michael managed global technology teams and established the India development team, achieving significant cost reductions. Michael also held positions at BNY Mellon as Director, where initial code for the enterprise portal platform, NEXEN, was written, and at The New York Times as Executive Director, leading the redesign of the e-commerce system. Additional previous roles span respected organizations such as Thomson Reuters, Wall Street Journal, MetLife, Information Architects Corporation, Pencom Web Works, and New York City Transit. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering.
