Jossie Swett Cosentino

Jossie Swett Cosentino has extensive work experience in the medical field, particularly in the area of general surgery and breast oncology. Jossie started their career as a Clinical Associate in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2016. From there, they worked as a General Surgeon Locum at Dryden Regional Health Centre in 2018 and Sault Area Hospital in 2019. In the same year, they joined Sunnybrook as a Breast Oncology and Oncoplastic Surgeon. In 2020, they became a General Surgeon at Peterborough Regional Health Centre and General Surgeon and Breast Surgical Oncologist at Brockville General Hospital. Currently, they hold the position of General Surgeon and Breast Oncology and Oncoplastics, General Surgery Division Lead at Brockville General Hospital.

Jossie Swett Cosentino has a strong educational background in the field of medicine. Jossie obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Doctor en Medicina y Cirugia degrees from Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, where they studied from 1994 to 2001. Following this, Jossie pursued further specialization in General Surgery, completing the General Surgery Residency Program at the University of Toronto from 2009 to 2016. During this period, they also earned the degree of FRCSC (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada) in General Surgery from the University of Toronto. Additionally, Jossie undertook a specialization in Breast Oncology and Oncoplastic Surgery at Western University, where they studied from 2018 to 2019.
