Henning Mortensen

Henning Mortensen is an experienced professional in the field of information security and privacy. Henning has worked as a CISO/CPO at Brdr. A&O Johansen A/S since 2016, where they ensure compliance with ISO27002 controls and implements controls for GDPR compliance. In 2018, they joined Wired Relations as a Privacy Evangelist, raising awareness about GDPR software. Henning Mortensen also served as Chairman of the Danish Council for Digital Security, starting in 2017, advocating for privacy and information security online. Henning has been a Committee Member at Datatilsynet DK since 2011 and a Member of the Danish National Cyber Security Council at the Danish Agency for Digitisation since 2020. Additionally, Henning Mortensen has been involved in various roles at Rådet for Digital Sikkerhed / Danish Council for Digital Security, including a Board Member from 2012 to 2016. Before that, they worked as a Senior Adviser at the Confederation of Danish Industries, providing guidance on information security and personal data protection to Danish companies. Henning has also served as a Committee Member at the Supervision Comittee of GovCERT in 2013-2014 and as a Board Member at the ESL association from 2006 to 2012, overseeing the development of the ESL program for IT-security professionals. Henning Mortensen also briefly worked as a teacher at IT-Universitetet i København from 2017 to 2018.

Henning Mortensen's education history consists of various degrees and courses from different institutions. Henning obtained a Master of Science in Political Science (M. Sc. Pol.) and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (BA pol) and Bachelor of Arts in Oecon (BA Oecon) from Aarhus University. Additionally, they took a course in Data Protection Law at Aalborg University. Furthermore, they completed two courses, Networks and Protocols, and Java Programming, at the IT-Universitetet i København. Henning also acquired the Exam. ESL degree from PricewaterhouseCoopers. Lastly, they studied Data Protection Law at Plesner.

In terms of certifications, they obtained several certifications related to information privacy and data protection. Henning earned the Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Additionally, they completed a practical guide to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from ADVOkurser.dk.
