Yongwoo Cho

Yongwoo Cho has a diverse work experience in the field of art and design. Yongwoo is currently working as an Illustrator at Broken Circle Studios since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Art Director at SUPERCOLONY,INC from April 2019 to August 2021.

From October 2016 to December 2018, Yongwoo served as a Lead Artist at Studio Roqovan Inc., where they were responsible for art content development, establishing art styles, managing art teams, and ensuring asset performance for VR, Console, and PC. Yongwoo also collaborated with programmers for debugging and creating new tools and led R&D efforts for new technologies and hardware. Yongwoo contributed to various marketing campaigns through the development of content like trailers and live events.

Before joining Studio Roqovan Inc., Yongwoo worked as a Lead Artist at RELOAD STUDIOS, which changed its name to Studio Roqovan. Yongwoo'srole and responsibilities remained the same, including managing art content, staff, and leading prototype projects.

Prior to these roles, Yongwoo held positions such as Art Director at Seed Studios (September 2013 to April 2014), Senior Artist at Heavy Iron Studios / THQ (September 2003 to August 2013), Concept & 3D Artist at Gigawatt Studios (September 2001 to August 2003), Storyboard Artist at JonDavid Productions (January 2001 to March 2001), and Design Consultant at Micronchip, Inc. (July 2000 to January 2001).

Yongwoo Cho started their education at UCLA in 1990 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering in 1994. From 1995 to 1997, they attended Santa Monica College where they pursued fine art courses. In 1998, Cho enrolled at ArtCenter College of Design and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. In 2008, they obtained a Summer Animation Certificate from GOBELINS Paris.
