Dirk Elmendorf has been in the tech industry since 1998, when they founded Rackspace, the Open Cloud Company. Dirk served as the Chief Technology Evangelist & Internal Systems, helping to build and architect many of the systems that allowed Rackspace to deliver Fanatical Support. In 2002, they founded ServerBeach and served as the DC Systems Architect, developing the internal systems that made SeverBeach 1.0 work. In 2009, they joined r26D as a Partner, helping to select and develop product ideas that have been spun off into new startup ventures, as well as being in charge of development of a new creative space built for r26D. In 2011, they joined TruckingOffice as an Executive on the Growth Team. In 2012, they became a Partner at nMany. Dirk is also a Columnist at Linux Journal. In 2017, they founded Brokerage Engine and served as the Chief Technology Officer. Most recently, in 2020, they founded Jobward.
Dirk Elmendorf has a diverse educational background. Dirk completed a BA in Economics from Trinity University in 1997. In 2019, they obtained a certification in Docker & Kubernetes: The Complete Guide from Udemy. In 2020, they completed the Startup School program from Y Combinator. Dirk also attended Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.
