Sorin Crăcană

Sorin Crăcană has an extensive work experience in the field of software and firmware engineering. Sorin is currently employed as a Principal Software Engineer at Brompton Bicycle, a role they took on in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Firmware Engineer at the same company from February 2021 to October 2022. Before joining Brompton Bicycle, Sorin worked as a Senior Software Engineer at MySense.ai from June 2018 to March 2021, where they contributed to the development of a wellbeing analytics platform for the home. Sorin also gained experience as a Firmware Developer at Smarter Applications Ltd from November 2016 to May 2018. Earlier in their career, Sorin served as a Software Engineer at Ellexus Ltd from November 2015 to November 2016 and at CSR from March 2015 to December 2015. Sorin also worked as a Software Engineer at Applied Micro Electronics "AME" B.V. from April 2014 to October 2014. In addition, Sorin held roles as a Teaching Assistant at Eindhoven University of Technology from December 2013 to April 2014 and as a Software Engineer at OpenSynergy GmbH from March 2013 to August 2013. Prior to their master's studies, Sorin earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași between 2009 and 2012. Sorin completed their high school education at Grigore Moisil, Computer Science High School. Additionally, Sorin has certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera, Justice from edX, Windows 7 Configuration and Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Developer from the Microsoft Certification Program, and Introduction to Linux from edX.
