Lucas Smits

Lucas Smits is an experienced sales engineer currently working at Bronkhorst since June 2021, focusing on pre-sales and order management. Responsibilities include processing orders, pricing, and maintaining relationships with global distributors and subsidiary offices. Prior to Bronkhorst, Lucas worked at Pets Place Boerenbond Retail B.V. as a verkoopmedewerker, providing professional customer advice. Lucas gained engineering experience as a graduate student at Defenture B.V., designing a self-leveling jacking system for a lightweight army vehicle, and as a test engineer intern at Hyster-Yale Group, enhancing test procedures for fuel consumption. Lucas was also a team member of the HAN Formula Student Team and has foundational experience from a role at WegenerMedia. Lucas holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive Engineering from HAN University of Applied Sciences, along with a HAVO diploma in Nature and Health from Pax Christi College.
