Bill Manns is the current President & CEO of Bronson Healthcare at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Prior to their current position, Manns served as the President of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor and St. Joseph Mercy Livingston from August 2013 to March 2020. Before that, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Alameda Health System from January 2005 to December 2013, where they led a $23 million financial turnaround, initiated and implemented a cardiovascular service line, and directed a $668 million, LEED-certified, Master Plan for Highland Hospital - the largest construction project in the history of Alameda county. From January 1996 to December 2005, Manns served as the Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President of Providence Hospital at St. John Providence. During their time there, they incorporated Six Sigma which increased emergency department revenue by $1.2 million. Bill also grew surgical volume by 9% by designing innovative, alternate approaches to operating room usage. Lastly, they partnered with the mayor of Southfield on 100 Days to Health - a community outreach campaign.
Bill Manns has a Master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan. Bill also has a Bachelor of Arts in Physiological Psychology/Psychobiology from the University of Michigan. Bill has certification from Rona Consulting Group in Lean Certified.
