Kevin Rayner has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Kevin started their career as a Technology Specialist at Vowire LLC, where they managed the technical rollout of Small Business Server 2003 for a business client. Kevin then transitioned to State Farm Insurance as a Financial Services Specialist, where they presented financial service products to various groups and worked with agency field leadership to increase production in their territory. Kevin returned to Vowire LLC as a Senior Account Manager, responsible for planning, installing, and maintaining SQL Server databases on Windows operating systems and ensuring their security, integrity, and recovery.
In 2011, Kevin joined the University of Michigan Health System as a SQL Server Database Administrator, where they planned, installed, and maintained enterprise-wide SQL Server databases and implemented methods and procedures for security, integrity, and recovery. Kevin then moved on to Steelcase as a Database & SAP Administrator - Senior, where they researched and wrote the SQL Server POV document for the company's server environment and successfully completed several projects involving production databases and recoverability.
Currently, Kevin is working at Bronson Healthcare, where they initially served as a DBA II and was responsible for designing and building out availability groups and utilizing in-flight data masking to protect ePHI. Kevin eventually progressed to the role of DBA III, and most recently, they have been working as a Lead Data Engineer.
Kevin Rayner attended Marshall High School but the dates of their enrollment are unknown. From 1998 to 2000, they studied Political Science at Aquinas College - Grand Rapids, and from 2000 to 2002, they attended Western Michigan University, majoring in Political Science and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2019, Kevin obtained a certification from Microsoft as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in SQL 2016 Database Administration.
