Erika Betancourt, MD, serves as an Attending Physician at NYU Langone Health in the Virtual Urgent Care division since February 2023 and at BronxCare Health System since July 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Resident Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at both NYU Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center from July 2016 to June 2020. Erika Betancourt completed medical training at Stony Brook University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, earning a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2016, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Behavior from Vassar College in 2011. Early research experience includes roles as a Research Assistant investigating sex-specific hormones in Parkinson's Disease at Stony Brook University and as a Summer Intern at NYU Medical Center focusing on cognitive neurophysiology in epilepsy.
